About me

 Anthon.  (ænθən)

Anthon is a talented, versatile actor with a strong, positive work ethic, an incredible passion for people, and an enormous appreciation for the extraordinarily deep, and powerful connections we discover when we are truly open, and vulnerable in ensemble work. 

He holds a BFA in Acting from Adelphi University, and an MFA in Acting from the City University of New York, Brooklyn College. He is an Afro-Caribbean-American-New Yorker, originally from Trinidad and Tobago, and has worked on numerous stage productions, web series, and voiceover projects over the last ten years, playing a wide range of characters. Some of his selected favorites include; The Lesser Magoo, (Candle Prosper), director Meghan Finn (of The Tank); Uncle Vanya (by Annie Baker) (Serebryakov), director Kevin Hourigan; A Map of Virtue (Ray), director Polly Noonan; Christmas is Comin Uptown (The Ghost of Jacob Marley), director Ben Harney; The Boys Next Door (Lucien P. Smith), director Nicholas Petron; Living Newspaper (Rex Ingram), director Dr. Brian Rose; All in the Timing (Leon Trotsky), director JJ O’Neal, and Othello (Othello), director Liisa Yonker.

Anthon received a Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, Irene Ryan Acting nomination for Othello, and has done master classes with Andrew Wade and Heidi Griffiths. He has worked on new-play development with Meghan Finn at The Tank,  and in the IATI Theater Cimientos festival 2019. He also does volunteer work with the Malverne Community Theatre, and the Christian Cultural Center, Performing Arts Drama Ministry.  Anthon brings a wealth of life experience, unrelenting drive, and a playful imagination to every project he works on.
